Where does Miss Paulette Hair come from?
Miss Paulette has traveled to all parts of the world in search of the best quality hair. She has found that much of the world’s best virgin hair to be from eastern India. There Indian women traditionally cut off their long plait of hair at their wedding as a symbol of starting their new life. Some donate their hair in thanks to God for prayers that have been answered often while on a pilgrimage to one of the religious temples in eastern India. The temples will cut the hair from the willing devotees, then the hair is sold by the temple and the proceeds are returned back into the community in various charitable forms. Miss Paulette has visited many of these temples and talked with these women who donate their hair. Their gift to GOD has found its way to you.

What is the difference between your Indian hair and the hair from my local beauty supply store?
Miss Paulette makes special trips to India to meet our suppliers. Our Hair comes directly form the source, so there is no middle man to push up the cost. Beware of non-Remy Indian hair which is in great supply and is much cheaper than Remy/Cuticle Hair. The majority of human hair sold today is non-Remy hair. Because of the method of collection, the cuticle for each hair strand tends to be in all different directions. In order to compensate for this, the hair will go through an acid bath to remove the entire cuticle. This can be equivalent to about ten perms in a row! After the cuticle removal process, the hair is dipped in silicone to make it shine and to cover up any cuticle that were not removed in the acid bath. You do not want this processed hair on your head.

Why should I buy Indian hair?
Indian hair is highly regarded in the hair industry because of its flexibility, durability, and texture. Indian hair is naturally thick and lustrous, so it gives you more styling and installation options. This hair can last for a very long time depending on how you maintain it. Remy Indian hair goes hand in hand with long lasting quality.

What is Virgin Hair?
Virgin hair is not processed in any way, it is 100% natural, so there is no processing damage to the cuticles. The cuticles protect the hair so it is important that they are intact. All Miss Paulette hair is hand selected to be soft and beautiful, and a lot of care is taken to assure that all the cuticle run in the same direction to prevent tangling. Virgin hairs lack of chemical processing results in soft beautiful long lasting hair with lots of body.

What is Remy cuticle hair?
Real Remy cuticle hair is the highest grade human hair available. It comes from one individual and is sectioned and allowed to fall into its natural growth pattern. The hair is then cut and carefully sewn to maintain the natural cuticle direction, so that matting and tangling is virtually eliminated.

What is Single Drawn Hair?
All human hair grows in cycles, while some is growing, some is dormant. This is the reason there are so many lengths in a single drawn ponytail. Single drawn, this means only the very shortest hairs have been combed out, usually the first 2 or 3 inches. For example: a hair piece of 16" to 19" inches of Remy quality and single drawn has hair lengths of 16", 17", 18" and 19".
What is Double Drawn Hair?
The ponytail is held in brushes at the roots. Hair is pulled a little at a time from the bottom until the hair is approx. 1" shorter than the last group. Hair is usually drawn off into 5 or 6 lengths, depending on the length of hair you are working on. For example: a hair piece of 20 inches of Remy quality and double drawn has hair lengths of 20" only. It contains no hair shorter than that.

What Are Hand Tied Wefts?
Hand tied wefts are done by hand and are much thinner than machine wefts. They will lay flat against your scalp to give you a more natural look and significantly reduce hair bumps caused by bulkier machine wefts . Hand tied wefts come in one long track and the length of the track depends on the length of the hair.
What does the term "bulk" hair mean?

What is the difference between Machine Weft and hand tied Weft?
Hand tied wefts are made by tying strands of hair around a strong weaving thread; this process is done by hand. Hand tied wefts are much thinner than machine wefts because of the precision involved, and will lay flat on the scalp. Machine wefts are made by sewing strands of hair together with a hair sewing machine. Hand tied wefts will reduce hair bumps caused by the bulkier machine wefts. Hand wefts may shed more than machine wefts.

What is the best way to cut weft hair?
The proper way to cut a weft is from the hair side, to the sewn edge, and not the other way around. That way you can follow the hair "path" and assure yourself a proper division. It is also recommended to place a single drop of glue at the cut ends to avoid fraying or shedding
Can you cut hand tied Weft hair?
Hand tied wefts should never be cut from the top, this is a common mistake made by even experienced hair stylists. If it is cut, then you should seal it with a good glue like nail glue or fabric glue. There is no guarantee that it will not shed if it is cut. Never sew through the top of the weft, better that you sew around the weft. With machine wefts, you can cut where desired. The main reason for hand wefts shedding is because the weft is not cut properly.

Do I have to do anything special in the morning?
We advise that you comb your hair every morning. Just bend your head forward and gently brush your hair from the ends towards your scalp. Starting from the ends keeps the pressure off the weft area and is a good way to maintain the longevity of the extensions.
Do I have to do anything special at night?
You should NEVER sleep on wet hair. Sleeping on wet hair will matte the hair which makes it very difficult to maintain it the way you want it. Just make sure your hair is completely dry before you go to sleep and you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
Do I have to do anything special when I work out or go running?
It is recommended to put your hair in up or in a ponytail when you exercising or running.
Can I go swimming?
We recommend you wear a cap when swimming, or try to keep your hair out of the water. It is best to wash hair right after swimming. Avoid getting hair in salt water as the salt can take all the moisture out of the hair and it will lead to tangling of the hair. Never braid your hair and go in salt water. It is best to wear it down. Add a spray in conditioner after swimming.
How long does it last?
This hair can last for a very long time depending on how you maintain it. Treat it like your own hair and take good care of it for it to last longer. Indian hair generally will last longer than any other kind of hair.
Return to see your stylist every 6 to 8 weeks. Removing the hair weave will be necessary to treat your natural hair. If you have braided hair, as long as the stylist can see that your hair and the extension are still healthy, it may be alright to keep it a little longer.
